The time has come for you to make a leap, I leap into the world of freedom, freedom to use what you like when you like and be able to afford it, you can afford it, because it is free.
Let me explain free
Some people are trying to change the meaning of free, going into some clubs, they say to you, "it is free to join up", but the small text says "it costs you to join in". This is not the real meaning of free, free means that you can have it and use it as you like.
So what happens if you have a problem with you Linux and you do not know what to do? That’s very easy to answer, you go to the free forums and the gurus will answer your questions for free.
Some people say that Linux costs money, The Linux world has always promoted a different term called donate. Donate means that you give money away because you think its worth it, because you like it, because you want to see that project continue. You are not forced to donate!
Ok, Lets put it another way. You find a service that helps you to get a job with a good wage and the service provides you all the help you need to get on with your job. In time you might eventually come to the conclusion that you would like to give something back, because with this service, you would not have got to, where you are today. This is the time to make a donation.
Some other people say that you have to buy the manuals, in most cases this not true, but if you want a book to take with you and read on the train and you do want to make a donation you can. There are authers that write books on different distributions of linux and yes those cost money.
